People United Against the Newington Egg Farm

We, the undersigned, wish to register our objections to the proposed egg farm at High Oak Hill, Newington.  We ask our views be taken into account by the planning committee.  Our reasons are: inappropriate scale and location; additional traffic on narrow country lanes (with related highway safety issues); hazardous vehicle access from the proposed site; foul smell and noise both locally and carried on the wind; detrimental impact on the conservation area; minimal or non-existent benefit to the local economy; and a desecration of one of the most beautiful parts of the village "an area of high landscape value" (Swale Borough Council report words, 22nd July).
